If you haven't seen Apple's newly designed iPod Nano yet, you need to do yourself a favor and check it out. My girlfriend gave me one this weekend and I'm really impressed with how it takes famous iPod features and slims them down into the smallest iPod with video and pictures. From a design standpoint, the nano has the staple reflective metal backing. It's super thin at 6.5mm--only a bit thicker than a book of matches. When you hold it in your hand, it has a nice feel to it. It's got some weight so it doesn't feel too light or cheaply made. Other features that the Nano takes from its bigger iPod relatives are the scroll wheel, buttons and menu. Also there's the Cover Flow feature, that lets you scroll through your music by album covers. The display is 320 x 240 and is supposedly 65% brighter than before. I really noticed the brightness when I found that a picture that looked a bit dark on my Macbook Pro actually looked clear and bright on the iPod nano.
